Bosch's line of Axxis washers and dryers focus on small-form factor, roomy capacity and eco-friendliness. These front-loading, 24-inch washers come with a variety of features dependent on the model -- ranging from the sportswear-focused Active-Wear-cycle option to advanced touch controls. When you encounter spin-cycle-related issues, Bosch recommends universal troubleshooting procedures that apply to all Axxis models.

No Spin in Sight
If your Axxis stops short of entering its spin cycle or shuts off during the cycle, you may have power issues on your hands. Ensure the washer is plugged in and you haven't blown a fuse or tripped a breaker. All washers in the Axxis line have a built-in safety feature that halts operation if the front door is not shut and latched, so close the door securely to start your clothes spinning. You may have accidentally pressed the “Rinse Hold” button, which essentially suspends the washer's actions; press the “Spin” button to exit this mode and begin spinning again.
Stuck on Spin
Each Axxis washing machine -- from the WAP2401UC to the WAS24460UC and those in between -- features Bosch's Unbalanced Load Detection System. If the weight of your laundry load isn't balanced, this feature causes the spin cycle to repeat, stopping and restarting in an attempt to balance the load. To address this problem, Bosch recommends washing large and small items together to prevent potential imbalances.

Water Woes
In some cases, draining errors can prevent the washer's spin cycle from adequately wringing out clothes. Clear the washer machine's drain pipe of any debris to encourage proper draining. Bosch suggests running your washer on a “Spin/Drain” or “Quickwash” cycle without clothes to help clear debris. Likewise, ensuring the drain hose is not pushed more than 6 inches into the drain pipe also remedies incomplete drainage issues.

Faulty control panels, malfunctioning motors and problematic pumps also can cause spin-cycle issues. Cases such as this, which require more complex mechanical troubleshooting, call for professional help. When they are purchased new, compact washers such as those in the Bosch Axxis series include a limited one-year warranty for parts and labor, including coverage for the unit's motor and microprocessor.
