Huntbgn2 is the Lasersoft retail shareware level set with 2 additional levels. To view the shareware ending you need to download the shareware version of the game. This Game Is Awesome The Heatseeker is a awesome weapon

Smith2017-06-040 point

This game was awesome in the day! I remember playing this for the first time and just couldn't believe how awesome it was. It was enough like Doom to capitalize on the early 90s FPS craze but it was just enough different to be unique.

God mode was hilarious, 'uhhhhhahhh'. But dont forget dog mode.

Ahaha... A pretty good game back in the day. Yeah it didn't have quite the finesse of Doom, and instead of weapon selection there was just about 6 different rocket launchers, ahaha.. But I used to play some modem-to-modem games every once in a while for kicks. Not bad.

Multiplayer in this game was what made it so fun back in the day.

This game actually was extremely innovative on a technical level and is - from a game design perspective - a masterpiece in extending the boundaries of an engine. The story is kind of nonexistant and nowadays people are not amazed by the gore factor and the games innovations are nothing new anymore (necessarily), but back in the days, this game was a masterpiece.

I hated this game... That means: I really hated it!
It was a nice try to pimp the old (and at the time of it's release already outbid) Wolfenstein engine up to the breakdown, some features like the flying gibs and flashing thunder effects were reused for much better looking games like Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior or Blood...
But this game was just... unnecessary... Sorry, but that's my opinion on it... ;)
Ok, it's ok for fun fragging the stupid enemies and blowing their inside to outside, but that already was it! No great mapping, no great story, just boom and splatter - Ok for some really bored minutes to dawdling away the time, but after a while you will just turn it off... :/

...This was more than a 'Doom/Quake clone', kids. ROTT was intended to be the sequel to Wolf3D, but the original Quake engine wound up being superior insofar as the 3D rendering went. There was a really early beta of 'Wolfenstein 3D II' that circulated with the ROTT engine but tweaked Wolf3D characters, demons, etc. The idea was that the Triad was the '4th Reich', with the descendents of the Nazis now back as a swipe of SPECTRE. The game essentially got thrown together and shoved out the door in an attempt to at least regain some of their development costs. IIRC, they actually made back about 30x their dev costs in the first six months alone, because the game was so campy that you just *had* to buy it for the simply satisfaction of being able to say you did. One of the few games where the old school pirates really pushed the 'if you like it, buy it' motto and meant it!

Retro Nutter2012-07-120 point DOS version

Definately unoriginal, but it's fun.

Citysim2012-05-260 point DOS version

ROTT is a very underrated masterpiece, I never cared much for Wolfenstein or Doom, but ROTT brings FPS to a whole new level, Larger play areas, countless secrets and powerups, Smartier enemies, etc. This was fun for much longer than Doom, and Wolf3D which quickly got boring, Certainly the first FPS Game i actually totally enjoyed and its still fun to play today! I MUST Have for your DOS Collection!

Nothing beats doom

Rox22082012-05-130 point DOS version

Though completely unoriginal, still tons of fun.

The Hunt Begins is one of the main quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance. You have to participate in an investigation of an attack on the horse stable located in Neuhof. Examine tracks, ask witnesses and track down bandits who hid in the nearby forest.

  1. The quest starts in the yard of the castle located in Rattay. Speak with captain Bernard, tell him that you are ready to travel and mount Pebbles. Reach Neuhof with your allies. Note - You can fail the first part of the mission by waiting too long before you meet with Bernard. The NPCs will go there without you. If you did that then you will have to reach that place alone.
  2. Start your investigation. You have to examine most of the village. Start in the place where the rest of the guards are. Examine Smil's dead body and corpses of the slaughtered horses. Speak with Zora and Jakub (a chance to use a unique dialog line). Ask them both about every topic.
  1. Leave the first building and continue exploring the area. You come across another corpse and a pool of blood that will lead Henry to the burned main stable building. Talk to Mark (you can use intimidation or you can impress him). He tells you about runaway bandits. Ginger is also in the area, ask him too.
  2. Head north-west from the stable's main building. Examine the area around the destroyed gate presented in the picture. Henry is now sure that the bandits ran into the forest located north from the village.

Let The Hunt Begin

Keep going north-west (you will find a few pools of blood). Enter the forest and start sneaking. You have to find two bandits (they are presented in the picture).

The Hunt Begins Scenario

  1. You can wait until one bandit kills his friend or you can jump out immediately. You may have some problems with this fight even though you face only one enemy (watch out while you are blocking his attacks). Defeat him and approach the second bandit. If he is still alive, he will speak his final words. Otherwise, you should search his corpse and take Bloody hoof-pick.
  2. Note - For pacifist players - wait until the wounded bandit dies and then lure out his friend. You can also sneak and quickly reach his corpse. You only have to get the hoof-pick. After that you can run away.
  3. Now, go back to Neuhof. Find the hoof-pick's owner. Ask, e.g. Mark. You learn that it belonged to Ginger but he ran away from the village. Go to Jakub and ask him where you can find Ginger. You will search for him in the next quest. Speak with captain Bernard and give him your report before moving out.
