Feb 24, 2011 Hello, I just picked up a 1996 993 C4 coupe and there was no owners manual with it, so I am also interested in getting my hands on such. I found a hardcopy for $300(!) on ebay, but figure there must be a better alternative, and frankly, I really just need to read it so I am aware of the 'dos and don'ts' since this is my first 911.

Can anyone advise me where I will be able to buy an instruction manual for my '96 993?
Also, I bought an amazing (and huge) book by Adrian Crawford, about 964 ownership some years ago. It wasn't a 'buyers guide' more of an owners manual with some DIY/servicing information. All that I have been able to find for a 993 is his buyers guide. Did he ever write an owners manual for 993s?

Do you mean the original Porsche Driver's Manual?

Be aware there are two versions - an 'early' (which says a 12,000 mile service etc should be done on mileage) and a 'late' where a sticker has been added to every relevant page (or annually whichever comes sooner)

Also try Mike at Gmund Collection, www.gmundcollection.com they always carry the owners manuals and usually very reasonably priced too. I think I paid £15 for my 911 and 944 owners handbooks.
